The awards recognise the leading examples of car park management, enforcement, design and team work.

Entry Criteria

Parking in Action
The Parking in Action Award recognises targeted projects and programmes that seek to improve the parking experience of drivers or tackle antisocial and unauthorised parking behaviours.

Actions may include:

Improving the provision of accessible parking

Blue Badge fraud prevention
-
Addressing pavement parking problems
-
Organising formal parking for e-bike and e-scooter rental schemes
-
Tracing persistent evaders
-
Removing abandoned vehicles and fly-tipping
-
Tackling antisocial 'car meets'.
The criteria:
The Parking in Action category ts open to teams and partnerships working to implement policies and address identifiable needs:

Definition of the problem being tackled or need being met

Evidence of success
The judges will be looking for the following:

Examples of the nominee doing the extra things that makes for outstanding performance

Evidence of a consistent application of good practice

Evidence of excellence as a representative of the parking industry to the customer/local community
-
Testimonials illustrating a high level of respect amongst fellow employees
-
Details of training (NVQs, First Aid, health & safety, Welcome Host, etc.)

Membership of professional bodies and initiatives (BPA Groups, charities, etc.)
Personal circumstances will be taken into consideration by the judges
Personal circumstances and disabilities will be taken into consideration by the judges.
